Position Description

The Quality Technologist will be responsible for responding to quality concerns identified in manufacturing, maintenance, material supply, warehouse, and all other departments in the facility. The Quality Technologist will need to be familiar with Microvast quality standards to make line start and line down decisions and will consult the Area Engineer and Quality Supervisor in any unclear circumstances that may be encountered. The Quality Technologist will help mentor Quality Technicians in their duties as needed. The candidate will be working to improve processes that will make impacts on the efficiency of the quality system and will also play a key role in the career growth of associates on their team. The Quality Technologist will be first responders to quality concerns and will represent the company for safety, quality and the overall Microvast organizational direction.

Job Responsibilities

•    Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
•    Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics and prepare and submit reports to the QA Supervisor.
•    Determine potential countermeasure solutions against failed inspections.
•    Build solid relationships with other teams in different departments.
•    Apply a critical thinking mindset to engage and troubleshoot on-going quality issues.
•    Work with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance etc., concerning requests and needs for QA lab and Quality inspection work.
•    Track and maintain calibration IATF documents and schedules.
•    Collect and document basic data from concerns such as the suspect window, test results, and operator statements and prepare and submit reports to the Quality Supervisor.
•    Investigate as necessary any quality concerns and will be considered the first contact for quality concerns.
•    Must be able to identify and differentiate between different defect types within the plant.
•    Determine the criticality of a defect and the required response.


•    HS diploma/GED
•    5+ years in a quality position.
•    Experience with Automotive or EV battery manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Ability to understand technical reports.
•    Experience with MS software (excel, power point & etc.).
•    Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance & etc. concerning requests and needs for the QA lab and QC inspection work.
•    Experience with training & mentoring peers and/or coworkers preferred.
•    Experience with measurement and inspection tools (callipers, micrometres, scales, rulers, & etc.).
•    Clear verbal, written, and presentation skills.
•    Experience in a fast-paced work environment requiring critical thought and analytical skills.
•    Ability to work and learn in a team-based environment and help with achieving common goals.
