Position Description

Having a background in electrical engineering and joining the process engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging your electrical background to learn and contribute to the startup, optimization, and maintenance of our automated lithium-ion battery production facility. You will be provided with mentorship and training to expand your skills and knowledge in process engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Open to international collaboration and travel with US, German, and Chinese manufacturing teams.
  • Utilize your electrical engineering background to contribute unique insights to cross-functional projects.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze plant efficiencies and recommend adjustments to operations site managers, utilizing your electrical engineering expertise.

Documentation and Procedures:

  • Develop clear and accurate equipment and process procedures for manufacturing employees.
  • Take responsibility for process documentation development within your assigned area.

Support and Leadership:

  • Support process changes, design modifications, trial parts, and improvement activities.
  • Take a lead role in equipment acquisition or modifications to support new product launches.

Engineering Representation:

  • Provide engineering representation in cross-functional activities involving disciplines such as Facilities and Controls, leveraging your electrical engineering background.
  • Demonstrate a data-driven problem-solving methodology and effectively present your work to all levels of management.


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Additional training in process engineering is a plus.
  • Previous work experience as an electrical engineer.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new skills in process engineering.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
